Curriculum Vitae

Bo-hyuk Suh is a Humanities Korea Research Professor at the Institute for Peace and Unification Studies (IPUS) at Seoul National University (SNU). Professor Suh worked as an expert adviser on North Korean human rights issue at the National Human Rights Commission of Korea in 2003-2006. Professor Suh majors in North Korea and unification, international relations theory, and peace building. His recent writings include Inter-Korean Relations and International Relations Theory (2012, coed.), The Helsinki Process and Security and Cooperation in Northeast Asia (2012, coed.), Korean Human Rights(2011), “Peninsular Perspective on the Militarization of Korean Human Rights” (forthcoming), and “Waltz’s Theory of the Third Image and North Korean US Policy” (2011).
