Philo Kim is Humanities Korea Professor at the Institute for Peace and Unification Studies (IPUS) at Seoul National University (SNU). He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Rutgers University. Professor Kim had formerly served as a senior fellow and director of North Korean Studies Division at government funded research institute, Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU). He is the author of Flexible and Complex Unification (2010), New Approach and Strategy toward National Community Unification Formula (2010), Formation and Structure of Socioeconomic Network between North Korea and China (2008), and Evaluation on Sustainability of North Korean System (2006).
