Dong-Ho Cho is currently professor at Ewha Womans University for sociology in the department of North Korean studies. Before his appointment as a professor, he received his Ph. D. degree at Pennsylvania university in the US and he was working as a senior lecturer at Korea Development Institute (KDI). He also worked as an advisor for the presidential secretary for diplomacy and security, as well as in several other advisory bodies. He specializes in the economy of North Korea and Inter-Korean cooperation. His recent works include, e. g. A Favorable Approach to the Debate on the Costs of Reunification (Jeju Peace Institute, 2010) or Critical Review on North Korean Economic Subordination to China (Gukje Jiyeok Yeon’gu 2008).
